The methods to enable low-power Bluetooth vary by device type. Here are the common ways to enable it for devices:

Mobile terminal

  • Android system

Open the "Settings" on your phone.
In the Settings, find the "Bluetooth" option and click to enter.
On the Bluetooth Settings page, slide the Bluetooth switch to the on position. If your phone does not automatically search for nearby devices, you can click the "Search Device" or "Scan" button to manually start the search.

  • iOS system

Open the "Settings" on your phone.
Click the "Bluetooth" option.
Switch the Bluetooth switch to the on position, and your phone will automatically search for nearby Bluetooth devices.

  • Computer end

  • Windows system

Click on the "Start" menu at the lower left corner of your computer and select "Settings".
In the Settings window, click "Devices".
On the device page, select "Bluetooth and Other Devices", and then turn on the Bluetooth switch. If you need to connect a specific device, you can select and click "Connect" in the search results.

  • Mac system

Click the Apple icon in the upper left corner of the screen and select "System Preferences".
In the system preferences, click on "Bluetooth".
Turn on the Bluetooth switch, and the computer will automatically search for nearby Bluetooth devices. Select the device you want to connect to and click "Connect".

Take the low-power Bluetooth serial port HID module BM44 as an example:

  • Hardware connection: Connect the BM44 module to a PC or mobile phone via USB-to-TTL module, and make sure the module is powered on.
  • Software Settings: Open the serial port tool, set the port number TO "CP210X USB TO UART", the baud rate to 9600, and click "Open Serial Port".
  • To query the Bluetooth NAME: Send "AT+NAME?" in the serial port tool. If you receive a reply of "+NAME:xxx", it indicates that the module is working properly.
  • To modify the Bluetooth NAME (optional) : If you need to change the Bluetooth NAME of the module, send the command "AT+NAME= new name", such as "AT+ name =LINK_001". Receiving an "OK" reply indicates that the modification is successful.

If the device supports low-power Bluetooth function, follow the above steps to enable it. If you encounter any problems, you can check whether the device supports low-power Bluetooth and whether the Bluetooth driver is installed properly, etc.
